A selection of workshops I have facilitated:
Guest Lecture: Arts-Based Methods | taught at the department of Anthropology and Development Studies at Radboud University as part of the Methods of Fieldwork course
In this guest lecture, I explain the basics of design thinking, give examples to how anthropology students could apply arts-based methods in their research, and reflect on how my background in industrial design inspired my approach to anthropological fieldwork.
EDEN: Workshop for Communities Dedicated to Becoming Prefigurative Counterpowers | facilitated for University Rebellion TU/e as part of my final bachelor project
Through a series of experimental creative exercises, activist communities explore their values and the extent to which they embody them. You can find out more about this workshop here.
Materialising Memories: Archiving More-than-Human Encounters | in collaboration with Elena Dagg | facilitated at the Climbers for Climate Skillshare
In this workshop, activists involved in the protecting of forests memorise and honour the other-than-humans they have lost. Through the medium of patch-making, they remember lives taken, story tell their shared pasts and materialise their more-than-human encounters.
The Basics of Adobe Illustrator | facilitated for the Radboud Creative Collective
The Basics of Adobe InDesign | facilitated for members of UNID magazine and the student association of Industrial Design TU/e
The Principles of Graphic Design | facilitated for the student association of Industrial Design TU/e
